2 Dogs Long Dachshunds are raised in a home setting on the Montana plains. The kennel is located in a rural area; no close neighbors, and while the dogs' sleeping quarters are located inside, they have outside runs to enjoy plenty of fresh air and sunshine. There is no overcrowding; the dogs are housed 2 to a pen and run for company, with daily "social play time" to interact with the other dachshunds.
Cleanliness is an important part of our regimen to guard against any diseases. Runs are cleaned daily, and waste promptly disposed of. The kennel is kept spotless - shoes must be removed before entering, hands must be washed and sanitized before touching any of the dogs or puppies. Until puppies have received their first shot, neither they, nor their mothers are allowed to be handled by anyone but the breeders, to ensure their health and safety. We strictly enforce this rule with no exceptions, to keep our perfect record of a disease free kennel.
The dogs have constant music playing, fresh food and water daily, and plenty of love and exercise. All dogs and puppies are handled right from birth, ensuring happy, outgoing and loving personalities. Whether you choose to adopt a puppy or an adult, you may rest assured your dachshund has been well socialized.
Breeding is selective, with a special room set aside for just this purpose. There is absolutely no question of who fathered what litter since breeding is handled so carefully. The males and females are kept apart, with double fencing and concrete trenches to guard against digging. We personally handle all matings; no dogs are left alone together.
We gladly ship anywhere in the United States in addition to overseas locations. To ensure the safety and health of our dogs and puppies, we strongly recommend shipping via Delta Dash or Northwest VIP and two dogs can be shipped in the same container for no extra shipping costs. Shipping cargo is discouraged due to long mandatory layovers which cause extreme stress to the animal.
We have a variety of colors to choose from: red, black and tan, chocolate and tan,and several different dapple colors. We breed in both longhair and smooth coats. Our prices are reasonable, and we guarantee the health of all our puppies and adults. Worming is done at 5 and 7 weeks on puppies; adults are wormed twice yearly. Vaccinations are given at 6, 9 and 12 weeks on puppies, with rabies shots administered between 12 and 16 weeks. Adults receive yearly boosters on vaccinations, with 3 year rabies shots per state law. No puppy leaves our home until they have been wormed and have their first shot. All adopted puppies and adults are given packets of food, a leash, toys and treats, along with many informative booklets on raising and caring for your new family member. All customers are encouraged to keep in contact with us, and call us at anytime with questions, or to keep us informed on how your puppy is doing. Our interest in your dachshund doesn't stop at the sale; we're always available to you, anytime of day or night.
We feed a mixture of Hill's Science Diet, Purina Pro Plan and Eukanuba to ensure shiny coats and healthy dogs.
